Mark 2 – Faith

FaithDay #2 of my #DailyMark journey.  Mark 2 is like yesterday’s chapter (and the entire book of Mark, actually): fast-paced, action-packed, and quickly moving from scene to scene.

The main character, of course, is Jesus.  The drama and confrontations centre on Jesus.  But as I read this morning, I noticed something about the four men described at the beginning.  Jesus described them as men who had “faith”.

Their faith motivated them to care for their friend.  Their faith motivated them to take action.  Their faith motivated them to risk public embarrassment.  Their faith motivated them to go to Jesus.  And their faith was rewarded.

Hmm … do I have that kind of faith?  Does my faith cause me to act?  Does my faith cause me to take risks?  Is my faith desperately dependent on Jesus?  I hope so, since that kind of faith is the only kind worth having!

What about you?  What does your faith look like?
