Matthew 12 – Rest

So … today is a good day to practice what I preach.  The first section of Matthew 12 is all about the sabbath.  I’ve written about the sabbath.  I haven’t practiced “rest” very well lately (and I’ve also been told that by others), so … I’m going to finish typing now and rest instead.  Read this article.

PS.  Yes, I know that Jesus’ point in Matthew 12 was not to tell his disciples to “rest”, and in fact, his message was the opposite (ie, justification to work on the Sabbath, and refusal to submit to archaic religious rules), but I am using the word sabbath as an excuse to take a break.  Thanks for letting me.  😉
